We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our team at K&A Engineering in INDIA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:

  • Design overhead transmission lines using LiDAR modeling, sag-tension calculations, pole spotting, and right-of-way studies.
  • Model structures and framing for steel, concrete, wood, and FRP monopoles, including insulator and arm components.
  • Perform routing and optimization for complex rebuilds, pole replacements, and distribution feeder relocations.
  • Execute pole loading analysis and ensure all designs meet NESC and utility standards.
  • Produce engineering deliverables, including plan profiles, framing drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
  • Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to resolve technical issues and perform construction-phase inspections.
  • Provide technical oversight by reviewing subcontractor designs and mentoring junior staff/drafters.
  • Manage project logistics, including tendering assistance, documentation, and budget/schedule compliance.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and clients, including short-term travel as needed.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

What we’re looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience: 10+ years of overall experience in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) industry.
  • Technical Expertise: * Proven experience in the design of towers for 400 kV and above Transmission Lines.
  • Specific experience with 765 kV tower design is highly preferred.
  • Experience in Underground Cabling for 132 kV and above.
  • Software Skills: High proficiency with T-Line and tower design software (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER).
  • Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to work effectively with remote team members.
